Windows Mobile Device Center connection issues (32-bit version)

If Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) is having trouble making a connection to your Geo7x, please see below:


For the most part customers that have followed everything below have been able to connect to the WMDC again.


To make WMDC work one needs to install the .NET Framework 3.5. Net Framework 3.5 comes with Windows 10 but is not installed. To install it simply go to 'Control Panel' > 'programs' > 'Programs and Features' > 'Turn Windows features on or off' and select the '.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)'. Next, once you confirm you're running 32-bit version of Windows, download and run drvupdate-x86.exe  at bottom of page. If you're running 64-bit version of windows, please see relevant Help article entitled: Windows Mobile Device Center connection issues (64-bit version).
