There are a few more options for troubleshooting provided by Trimble:
1st. ----> Check that the Intel Bluetooth driver v23.90.0.8 (or Higher) is available under "Optional Updates" as this has been known to not install with the normal Windows Updates.
Updating the Intel Bluetooth driver to v23.90.0.8 using the link under Windows Updates / Optional Updates, has been known to solve some cases regarding the TSC7v2.
In a number of cases after manually updating the Bluetooth driver users were able to see Bluetooth devices when they chose to "Add a Bluetooth Device."
2nd. ----> The problem also could be that the USB device for the BT serial port is not enumerating in the OS. In the Device Manager this would be shown as an 'unidentified device' in the device list.
Disabling and reenabling the device should restore its operation and result in the full Bluetooth stack loading and functioning normally.
In a Nutshell, If more cases with this problem are seen, the first thing to try is running Device Manager and disabling then re-enabling any "unidentified device" items which are shown under "Other devices" list. Then report back to us as to if it worked and solved your issue.
3rd. -----> If all else fails we can have Michael Croot or someone with MCS try a remote debugging on the unit that has lost BT functionality
Here's how to set that up:
- Download the Teamviewer Host from HERE
- Install Teamviewer Host on the device and connect the device to Wifi.
- Set the device to 'never power off'
- Let us know the Teamviewer ID and Password.
- Support will pass the information along to Michael with the MCS Team
- MCS will then log in to the device, install some test tools, etc and see what has happened and do their best to remedy the issue.
