You will need to create a GNSS Contact.
- In case you need it, here is a link to the DOT where you can set up an account:
- In Trimble Access choose, Settings, Connections, GNSS Contacts.
- You can either create a new GNSS Contact or copy and edit an existing:
- Name – ALDOT or whatever name you want.
- Contact type: Internet Rover
- Network Connection – Controller Internet
- Contact Type – Internet Rover
- Use NTRIP -Yes
- IP Address – 205.172.52.26
- IP Port – 10011
- Use proxy server – No
- NTRIP username – (as you setup with ALDOT)
- NTRIP password - (as you setup with ALDOT)
You will need to create a Survey Style to run with Trimble Access on the RTN.
- In Trimble Access under the Settings icon choose Survey Styles.
- You can either create a new survey style or copy an existing survey style then edit the new copy as follows (be sure to rename the new style).
- Rover Options.
- Survey Type – RTK
- Broadcast format – Set to Multi Station (RTCM) (When you go to use this style and connect to ALDOT, choose the NEAR_MSM4 mountpoint.
- Antenna type – Pick your antenna. Access will also recognize what you are connected to.
- Measure to – Be careful to designate what you are measuring to.
- Antenna height – 6.562’ (2M)
- Serial number – not necessary
- Elevation mask – 10
- PDOP mask – 6.0
- GNSS Signal Tracking – check all constellations that your receiver can track
- Rover Data Link
- Type: Internet Connection
- GNSS Contact: Use profile created prior (ALDOT)
- Un-Check Prompt for GNSS Contact.
